Global Term: Ecuador

We made the mistake of leaving Baños and went to Latacunga and Quilotoa. What we should have done was stayed in Baños at a tree house and watched the volcano there start to smoke. But it was still fine, as soon as we got to Latacunga, we walked around the town and found this little bakery. We bought one of everything the girl had. She thought it was so funny. We to the hostel and ate it all on the roof, and noticed that there was a gym right next door that we could see in through the window. There was a fitness-like dance class going on, so we followed along on the roof.

The next day we went to the Quilotoa crater lake. We caught a truck to take us up there and had a nice little picnic in the back. The lake was pretty, but the town wasn’t too great – it was freezing, and a bit creepy, so we left as quick as we could - walking a 12k to just get to the bus.

But while there we did hike around a little bit, and found this little forest of pine trees. Reb was obsessed…It smelled soo good, so she picked a bunch of the branches, rubbed the smell on her, and insisted that we carry them around with us for a little while. We strapped them to our little backpack, and I’m sure where thought of as crazies for carrying a small tree with us. But that’s the theme of our travels right?
